Toby Anthonisz has over a decade of experience working in animation & post-production in London and New York, he has shifted focus in 2018 to live-action production.

Toby has worked with directors Stefano Ottaviano on spoken word and dance-based films Social Distortion (2018), which was distributed through Schön Magazine, and Crxss Platform (2019) which was featured on Nowness; Rodrigo Inada on music promo, Deep Breath (2021), for pop star Leo Kalyan which featured Munroe Bergdorf; and Charli Whatley on This Is Football: Marcus Harrison x Jacob which premiered on BT Sport and has over 400K views online, and Chronically Locked Down which was selected for DepicT! and London Short Film Festival, screening at the Curzon Soho.

 

During the pandemic, he produced The Lockdown Anthology (2020), a series of short films shot entirely remotely across the UK and USA, with 5 different writer/directors. Featuring well-established TV actors such as Kacey Ainsworth, Emma Campbell-Jones and Lauren Corah. Subsequently producing short film GAP (2020) for Emma Miranda Moore, which toured festivals internationally.

 

In notable production support roles, Toby has worked with directors, the Wade Brothers, on a short A Moral Man featuring Toby Jones that is currently on the festival circuit and This England, a Micheal Winterbottom production starring Kenneth Branagh.

Toby has worked on all Faded Neon Films smaller productions as Director of Photography, including Dreamland for artist Cat Florence which was selected to screen at BIFA qualifying Cornwall Film Festival in 2022.

In 2023 Toby directed and animated his first music video, Limbo, for London based metal band After Smoke Clears.
